  • While there is no specific length, a good rule of thumb is a page. What we have found is that if it is too much shorter, the reader doesn’t feel there is enough content. While if it is too much longer. the reader won’t go through it. Shoot for a page in length and you will be good.

  • Sure, we would need to be able to embed the video on the page so that limits where you can host it. We can also upload it directly to our system if that is easier. Either way, you want to include text so it engages with the search engines.

  • We can incorporate what you send to us. However, please be sure that you have permission to use the images. Ownership is important so that lawsuits don’t happen. When you send us images or graphics, please do not incorporate them into the document. Send them to us as an attachment so we can design the page online. When you embed an image onto, as an example, a Word Document, we have to deconstruct that document and it impairs the quality of the image or graphic.

  • There are some rules of thumb to follow. You know more about your industry than anyone. What questions do you commonly hear? That would be a great article. The goal of the articles is to provide enough information that you are seen as a trusted resource. When people perceive you as a resource and you come across as approachable, people will reach out to you for more specific information.

  • This is a big question for most of our members. People tend to think if they create a broad question, more people will find them and read their article. However, the opposite is truer. Be specific which allows the search engines to focus on your topic. Being specific allows the search engines to hone in on your topic and tends to drive more traffic to your specific article. This also allows people who are reading the articles to get a bit deeper and know how you can help them.

  • We understand that time is an important factor in every business. So it may be easier to submit multiple articles at one time. In order to make it easier, you can submit up to three articles at a time. We will schedule them out over the upcoming quarter.

  • There are two things that each business needs to understand. As we already mentioned, be specific on the topic or question. The title of the article is a question because that is how most people search Google when they look for information. The closer your title comes to what they are searching for, the higher you will rank.

Just as important is to span across the website. Each of our websites breaks the topic down into three components to bring the public to a more focused search. The goal for our members is to span across as many of those subcategories as possible. You can see the subcategories on the home page.

  • The goal for each article is two-fold. First to position yourself as a trusted resource. Second, to get people to reach out to you. These two goals work together. You want to showcase your expertise within your industry by having enough content without going into the weeds and detailing too far. The goal is to be relatable while showcasing how you can help.
